Parents are required to write
us a note if there will be any change in your child's
afternoon transportation. (For example: if your child
normally rides the bus and you have decided to pick your child
up from school at the car ramp on Monday, please send a note
to your child's teacher on Monday morning.
Please note that your child will
be sent home as you indicated at the beginning of the school year if
we do not receive a note from you.
If you must make an emergency change
to your child's dismissal plan, please call and fax us a note
indicating the change and your signature.
Our fax number is 947-0834.
Thank you for your assistance
and support of our important safety policies.
Congratulations, Pinewoods! for earning another A+ rating from the

The Fall Festival Was a
Huge Success,
Thanks to You!!
Thanks for Joining us on
Friday, November 13th
The weather was perfect, the food was awesome, the games and attractions were second to none, the second grade square dancers were fabulous, and a great time was had by all!
Did
you know . . . that Pinewoods
has designed a COW to get
literacy on the mooo-ve? With a little help from our friends, a
retired school bus has recently been
gutted, painted, lettered and re-fitted
as a classroom with carpeting,
air-conditioning and electricity.
We are taking our literacy and Parents Assuring
Student Success series on the
road in this self-contained mobile state-of-the
art
Classroom On Wheels! Family literacy experiences will be close
to home in a comfortable setting at partnering
churches, community centers, recreation
facilities and other elementary schools
as well as community fairs and events.
Look for the COW at community events.
The No Child Left Behind School Public
Accountability Report (SPAR)
and the
Annual Yearly Progress report (AYP) are available
for you
to review at our main
school office.
Shop
to Earn -
Pinewoods PTO and Shop
to Earn have established an online shopping
website from which the PTO will receive a portion
of every purchase made. This is the easiest
fundraising opportunity we have ever had AND we
don't need anything extra from you.
In order to keep the community informed with
the latest facts and data, the District has
set up a special budget section on its
Web site. Please visit www.leeschools.net and click
on the link on the main page for the 2009/10
Budget Update section to see information about
the financial crisis facing Lee County Public
Schools.
We
would like to extend special thanks to our
outstanding Business Partners in Education and
community members for their generous donations and services.
