HOW TO BACKUP YOUR DATA ON OUTLOOK.

 

1.    Open Outlook

2.    Clean out all your folders of any unnecessary items . (deleted, sent, etc....)

 

3.    Go to File then Import and Export

4.    A window will pop up, Select export to a file, then next.

5.    Select Personal Folder File (.pst), then next.

6.    Select Mailbox (yourname), then check mark the box for "Include Subfolders", then next.

7.    Select save in pull down bar, find drive "yourname$ on (0431datastore)H:", Select it.

        *If you are backing up to a Flash Drive, Just choose your Flash Drive instead.*

         ***I recommend that you make copies in both places.***

        Change file Name to what you want, then select ok.

8.    Should show "H:\ what ever you named it", make sure the "Replace duplicates with items exported" is doted, then finish.

9.    Another window will popup, just select ok and wait. Some will take longer than others, due to the amount of emails in there. It can take 2 minutes to 3 hours.
